ONSITE REPAIRS
Our client asked us to repair their low temperature hot water pump which had a leaking seal.
HVAC PUMPS
Scope of works
Its imperative that leaking mechanical seals are replaced swiftly, continuous leakage could introduce air or contaminants into the pump or the LTHW system, which could cause additional wear and tear on pump components. Over time, this can lead to the failure of bearings, shafts, or other critical parts, potentially requiring expensive repairs or replacement. Water leaks can cause corrosion or electrical short-circuiting, can lead to a reduction in the system’s efficiency and may require more water to be added, increasing operational costs. A leaking seal can affect the pressure and flow rates within the pump, which can reduce the overall efficiency of the heating system.
Our team were able to isolate the pump with zero downtime to site, strip the pump onsite and clean all the components. Replace the defective mechanical seal with new, rebuild the pump and reinstate. We vented air locally and left the pump in full working condition.
