Scope of works

Over several weeks working both in and out of hours so as to cause minimal disruption to ongoing hospital operations, our team isolated the existing system removing all pumps, pipework and associated valves and rigged up temporary pumps to allow for the services still to be used. A tanker was utilised to clean both stations and chamber which allowed us to install new gate valves on both suction pipeworks for sewage and stormwater pump sets.

The new pumps were installed on both chambers complete with skirt bases, valves, suction and discharge pipework run and connected on to main discharge pipework at high level, complete with air release lines for all pumps to prevent air locking. We removed and replaced 2 x dual pump intrinsically safe control panels with volt free contacts, wiring all pumps and new control floats which were drilled and fixed near the opening of each pump chamber to prevent manhole access to wet wells. We installed a new submersible pump in the lower pump chamber for any water that may enter the dryside and finally commissioned both units to suit sites requirements
